Welcome to ‘The Esplanade’. The Esplanade is a Grade II listed building situated alongside the sea.  We are moments from anywhere.   The property is yards from the award winning Weymouth beach and a short stroll from Weymouth town centre.  Weymouth’s historic old harbour and its accompanying dinner delights are but a short walk away; and if you want to sample The World Heritage Jurassic Coast, it is on your doorstep.

Whether you are staying with us for a single night or plan to be with us for a week or two, it is our aim to make you as comfortable as possible, as happy as possible and ensure that we exceed your expectations.

The Esplanade is an independent family run business.  My name is Rob and I was born in Weymouth what seems like only yesterday.....but in reality is far longer than I care to remember.  Over five generations of the 'Cole' family before me have resided in the town and now there is also one to follow.  After leaving Weymouth  to go to university, I spent nearly twenty years in Devon and London, returning to buy the guest accommodation with monkeygirl Lily to Weymouth in October 2007.  Baby Alfie was born in September 2008 and is quietly getting used to his life beside the seaside.  Although he's not such a baby any more and on occasion still has the menace in him, so don't be surprised if a little cheeky voice answers the telephone on occasion....can't think where he gets it from.

With such a saturated family history in Weymouth, it is my hope to be a fountain of knowledge to all of my guests and all of their queries.  If I don’t know the answers, then my parents might.  If they don’t know, then the grandparents would've..........but sadly they're no longer with us so be careful, I'm at that mischievous age where I might make something up haha!!
